Jeane Carman

Jeane Carman shares her fictionalized stories from her perspective as a family caregiver. Jeane is married and has two children, three grandchildren, and a 13 year old dog. She attended Southern Methodist University and the University of Denver. She has worked as a preschool teacher and director previous to her career in social work. As she approached the age when both her mother and maternal grandmother died of strokes, she retired from her medical social work career to pursue her love of writing. Jeane enjoys watching birds (especially blue herons), photography, being outdoors, and sketching. She is part of a Lifestories Writers Group and has been a member of a family caregivers support group since the Fall of 2006.

Megan Carnarius

Megan Carnarius is a registered nurse, licensed nursing home administrator, and the executive director of Balfour Cherrywood Village in Louisville, Colorado. She is a much sought after speaker on the topic of Alzheimer’s care, a specialty that she has focused on in her training, management, and program design for more than a decade.

Stuart Feinhor

Stuart Feinhor was a loving caregiver to his Aunt through the end of her life. He feels the caregiving experience changed his live in many positive ways and is currently writing a book about the experience. Stuart currently lives in Boulder, Colorado, where many of his caregiving stories have been published in a local Care Connections newsletter.

Rebecca Folsom

Rebecca Folsom is a singer, songwriter, touring performer, and fine artist from Colorado. She has released five CDs, and is currently producing her sixth recording. Her first poetry books, "Sliver" and "Your Life is a Masterpiece" are available in print. Several of her poems are featured in Toghers Moments. Chris Griffin-Wehr

Born in 1950 in Hamburg, Germany, Christiane W. Griffin-Wehr's journey includes teenage motherhood, a Master's Degree in religious studies, a 20-year career in university administration, and a love of horses and of long-distance running. Chris was so impacted by her mother's journey with Alzheimer's disease that she wrote a book on the experience from her perspective. The book—"Travels in Place - A Journey Into Memory Loss"—is available through the publisher at www.rdrpublishers.com. Newly retired, Chris and her husband Paul celebrate life in Colorado and Maine amid family, friends, and nature.

Candice Knight

Candice Knight is a Minister of All Seasons Chalice Church. She works with circles of men and women exploring how we deepen into our spiritual path.

As one of the founders of Ceremonies for Sacred Living she leads ceremonies to honor all of life’s passages for individuals, families, and communities, and is committed to reawakening the richness of ritual as a transformational tool in our everyday lives.

Michelle Lonsinger

Michelle Lonsinger is a freelance researcher, technical writer, and editor. She specializes in translating technical documentation and "legalese" into plain english, and has done so as a consultant for both government agencies and private companies.

Kim Mooney

Kim Mooney is the Director of Education for HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties in Colorado. She has been coordinating end-of-life care education and grief support offerings for the community for 15 years. She has developed and facilitated professional training programs, grief support, and critical incident services for community groups, school districts, corporations, faith communities, mental health professionals, and health care facilities. She is a published author and a presenter at state and national conferences, with a current focus on providing education and support, particularly involving moral distress, to personal and professional caregivers and health care professionals. She is adjunct faculty at Naropa University.

Bart Windrum

Bart Windrum is the author of "Notes From the Waiting Room: Managing a Loved One’s End of Life Hospitalization" and "How to Efficiently Settle the Family Estate" (both available at www.axiomaction.com), and also wrote the reform initiative "The Option to Die in PEACE (Patient Ethical Alternative Care Elective)."

Michelle Winston

Dr. Michelle Winston is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist practicing in Boulder, Colorado. She specializes in issues of memory and aging with a focus on Neuropsychology (understanding and measuring cognitive functions such as thinking & memory, and their impact on behavior and personality). She offers comprehensive neuropsychological assessments of memory disorders, dementia, neurological illness and injury, behavior and personality changes, civil competencies, and capacity pre- and post-testing for candidacy and efficacy of treatment interventions.

Margot Wright

Margot Wright, M.A., M. Div. of Clearly You Consulting, LLC (clearlyyouconsulting.com), is committed to walking with others in this journey of life and all that it holds. She offers spiritual direction and coaching, retreats, and workshops. Her husband, Pastor Steve Cox, died of a stroke in November of 2005. She has been graced with a community of faith who have surrounded her with their love. She is the mother of two children, ages 10 and 14.
